Origin of a Creative

CREATIVITY AS IDENTITY, STRATEGY AS INSTINCT

I’m a Creative, through and through. I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, and have been a visual thinker since before I had the words for it. Communication has always been my core, while art has become my discipline. The intersection of those two is what drove me into design as a practice. I’m currently a senior design student at Columbus College of Art & Design, with an Associate of Arts in Digital Design from Columbus State. I’ve been designing since 2018, but I’ve seen the world like a designer my whole life.

Since 2020, I’ve devoted myself to brand strategy and creative direction. Helping ideas grow, identities take shape, and visions turn tangible is what builds not just brands and businesses but also communities, culture, and collectives.

Creativity is problem-solving at its most human. To be creative is to make the unheard of undeniable, to turn a question into an answer, and an idea into a revolution. My work is rooted in clarity, storytelling, and execution. I don’t design just to make things look good. I build systems, identities, and solutions with intention.

Creative, Effective, and Versatile isn’t just a tagline; it’s how I operate.

Cross-functional, collaborative and always curious

My practice lives where strategy meets style: branding, storytelling, digital design, and boots on the ground community engagement.

I’m drawn to projects that require synthesis. Taking raw ideas and shaping them into fully formed and actionable solutions comes naturally to me.

I’ve worked with corporate teams, agency creatives, and community-centered organizations, gaining fluency in cross-functional collaboration and brands.

What is “M4K”

M4k reimagines my nickname, Mak, with the “4” standing in for the “A” and nodding to 4K clarity. Precision in both craft and character. Influenced by Jupiter’s markings, the mark represents vision, growth, and a constant pull toward what’s next.
